That Ark

The bureaucratic idiots – as Jones remarks:
“don’t know what they’ve got”. They’re missing the big issue, and denying
scientists a historical relic to pour over, decipher and document. I think this
is Speilberg tackling America – the powers that be – and the Holocaust, to be
crass Speilberg could be saying; just like The Ark and Roswell America will put
problems in a box, under lock and key – it’s not about secrecy or a Religious
tact, its a simple “if we don’t have to, then why?”

Ever wonder who’ll play yourself in a film of your life? Ira asks, you see – it’s a ridiculous question because no one will ever make a film of you’re ridiculous life, no matter how complicated you make the relationships, no matter how stunning the main man – or how tall, exotic, thin and nude the leading brunette — you’re life, the moments in it won’t sell. Oh, in Ira’s case they did sell, and a script was penned, I have no further details. I’ll find out one day I’m sure. For most of us however, an upbringing consisting of Film rather than Cartoon has less than a blessing. Firstly, I have expectations based on screenplays – when things get slow or dull, never-mind they’ll be an uplifting scene between man and wife soon. You can’t CUT TO: in life. That’s sad, what’s not sad is that I’ve got myself thinking in terms of what is visually– I’ll explain later I’m getting side tracked… I discovered WBEZ’s “This American Life” a few weeks ago, I had come home from a night out with friends and it was very early… I’ll list my favourite shows, they are all available for download, No. 42 is great (Listen) I’ll get back to this later. That got your attention, now – both JQM and Billy
have given me some great clips for inclusion in the A\V
Section
of my homepage, if you know ‘me’ you’ll probably want to check
it out – as I explained
some time ago It’s a culmination of sticking cameras in my friends’ faces at
parties, or ‘fun days out’, over the past years. I went a bit crazy/paranoid in
relation to file sizes and before .Mac bumped me up to 250mb I didn’t really
have any space for larger than 300kb a file. Lord that’s dull I’ll
stop.So, what I’m getting at is – it’s
there enjoy it. Add to it- well, I did ask didn’t I. It’s not too easy to modify
the A\V Section so I have some fantastic videos sitting around and no way to get
them across – so I thought. Why not just link it through the blog? Well, sorry Q
and Billy, I had a vision of keeping the A\V Section ‘live’ but I’m going to
leave it there- with our memories (Kenny called me the memory man the other
day… ‘Thought that was sweet.) So, next post; here’s something from the
archives… I’ll try to keep this up I do find DV tapes under wardrobes and in
pockets all the time, who knows what lost moments are waiting to be found.
(Gavin’s party- c’mon someone must have that tape!)
