can’t say why… but i love this site: http://www.history.navy.mil/photos/. Archived photos from American naval deployments etc. i’ve come back to it many times since I discovered it 5 years or so ago, I suppose I like ships, engineering, black and white photography and archives. but i keep loosing it, so I’ll post it here… best way to navigate this site is via the ’site:#’ google images: here.
some great shots of old New York (1930’s) in there, a particular one of Brooklyn Bridge which uncannily mirrors BlueJake’s latest post. I’ll go find it now.
