Catgut & Podsafe on Radio 1

published on December 6, 2005 » filed under Music, Web 2.0

You know I wouldn’t direct you towards Radio 1 if it wasn’t for a good reason. But our good friend “Catgut” will have his first nationwide airplay this evening (going into tomorrow morning) on BBC Radio 1.

Now, not only is this the first time he’s going to be recognised for his amzing (and Mac-enabled :D) talents in such an open way – but it is also, to my limited knowledge, the first time a Podsafe Tune has made it to BBC 1.

So, check out the show: Huw Stephens: One Music
Or jump straight into the good stuff: Podsafe Music Network: Catgut

Update: So his track went on around half 12 Thursday morning, that was fun. We hung out in the messageboard with a bunch of hip-control-mosh-hungry nu-music lovers, Radio 1 is still so bad. Its been a while since I’ve let someone play music at me (bad music) without the handy Podcast / iTunes fast-forward. The “Catgut” track was a good ‘un, and even recieved instant feedback; positive in the most part. No mention of the Podsafe Music Network. You can stream the show from this site. What an evening, although Adam Curry didn’t get back to me. Bah, It’s Still Rock & Roll To Me.

Another Update: I’ve grabbed an MP3 from the stream, for you non-RealPlayer folks. You can download Catgut here. The song is “I Love Milk” and it was first heard on the Podsafe Music Network… not the BBC, remember that!

A Further Update: Catgut has his own website now; LittleCatgut.com, check it out- if you want to know / hear more of Catgut’s unique musical style.

this is an old post - the formatting may be jumbled
it may simply make no sense... i was young!
