hey again, looks like this will get us started. i'm going to pick up from where this fella left of- we want integration with normal posts, a slightly more obvious back-end too?

i'll get to it.

meanwhile, enjoy Starred Review.

humph... yeah, so rather than finish this plugin I submitted it to a few Wordpress Plugin forums, asked around a bit... tried a hack or two, nothing materialised further than the asides hidden posts combo... bah, it was a mess.

If you really want to do this, Kottke gave me the answer:

It's a mostly custom thing, cobbled together with a few MT plugins to get it to work exactly the way I want it to:

http://www.kottke.org/04/09/movie-listings

When I make an entry, I put in the title of the movie, a link, an optional entry, and a rating and MT takes care of the rest.

-jason

so, i didn't fancy a shift over to MT, but we can learn from this... we either need an already existing plugin that allows certain posts to be formatted differently from the norm, or we need to create 2 blogs, one for everything else, one for Reviews/Film etc. with some WP hackery we can combine the two.

maybe we need a plugin that will provide to USERS(!) with individual styles... when I want to post a film review i logon as "mr.film review" when i want to post normally i logon as admin, or whatever.

i was actually thinking about this plugin today, I think I'll get round to it soon. Maybe tomorrow.
