know which I’d go with… being a British Citizen, not having a
mental
as President, I see the beauty in wasting Billions on exploring infinity and the
beauty in this photograph taken by “Mars Express”. Its dust - falling into a
400m deep crater… well, it was photos like this
or Little Jimmy’s athsma treatment.
There’s a whole high-res gallery over
on the European Space Agency’s website, Its not very user friendly -
but really worth your tax-payer’s Dollar / Euro. Anyway, on Space Exploration in
general it is really tough to justify mindless space travel when 11 Million
Children die every year from Treatable diseases. When we can’t find Osama Bin
Laden, but hey - Ice on
Mars. It was Quincy that brought this up last night, during a quip
with my parents, My Mother: “are
things really cheap over there [in the USA],
Quincy?”Quincy: “Oh yeah, they’ve spent all
their money on ridiculous wars and sending robots to the Moon. Free Health Care?
Bah.”Well, makes me sick - although
the
real
reason NASA got the shuttle launch up and going as soon as possible was due to
maintenance/upgrades on top-secret surveillance equipment, the shuttle and NASA
are a devision of the Defense service after-all. But who knows what Mars is
about, lets have a look in those Oceans of ours, before we go flying off into
uninhabitable deep-space. Photos are
