Uncle Callum?

My sister
told us she was pregnant today. Her
baby-thing
is expected on the 12th of March, I’m not in the least bit jealous… although I
this will overshadow my birthday on the 11th for a second year running, my
sister was married on the 12th of March this year. Uncle Callum, sounds
fun.

Bah

Has anyone listened to the Podcast - bah. I hate you
all.

I always have a plan for the day,
as much as I pretend to act on the fly - standing (or sitting) around with no
real intention of doing a thing… my actions and movements during an average
day are in the most part an off-shoot result or pre-result, whats-the-word, of
that mornings decision. I won’t be giving an example - I don’t even know what
I’m talking about, I don’t think its what I mean to say anyway. Bottom line- I
do things and they make sense. Get
me?Today’s Saturday, and as I’ve had a
pretty mental old week at work, I decided to sleep it up till lunch time. I then
got up. Stumbled through the blinding light and humidity of an overcast Scottish
June afternoon to the kitchen, there I tried to make some toast (a simple
process that involves heating bread) I was not hung-over but the making toast
bit was too much - the bread was out-of-date and my plans were ruined… my
Saturday mornings are not compleate without Radio 4, so over to
Any
Questions?
and
Any
Answers
… which were hysterical - no really
dictionary definition hysterical: uncontrolled, extreme emotions. The audience
were yelling and screaming
and
Anti-BUSH not Anti-American (my foot). Listen for
yourself
, I implore you.

The
rest of the morning / afternoon was spent porting K2 to iBlog - a seriously
geeky process which was initiated by an e-mail from Sarrat, the man behind the
iBlog Application. I have his word that UID’s in iBlog 2.0 will be fixed - he
was quick to respond to a rather harsh e-mail I sent him last night… I really
don’t understand iBlog’s current random string of UIDs, and 1.4.5 does not make
up for it (upgraded last night). Anyway, another
time…

Tomorrow morning I’m going to
Blane’s
place, where I’ll be doing a ’shoot’. I’m not really sure what I’m getting into
- but at Will’s Party last week I did ask her if she would be interested in
doing some fashion / photography deal, where I do the photography she does the
fashion and we get horribly self-congradulating at the end of it. So, check out
my Flickr. Maybe I’ll
set Blane up with an account, hmm.So -
in preparing for this shoot I’ve been reading up my Sony manual and screwing
with manual modes, I’m going to take my 35mm - just for backup. I went up the
street today (into the center of our the county’s hub that is Huntly) to fetch
some film. I exchanged pleasantries with Mr Photoshop-man and got myself one
roll of Fuji 200, because I live dangerous / cheaply. I crossed the road to see
pretty sandwitch-shop girl, expressed my undying love for… thai chicken and
left it at that. Then - after completely failing to snap any photos of the
disgusting local’s grubby little faces - I bumped into Jo, who is neither grubby
or local. She is from Forge.

Jo, her sister Claire, ugly dog and I then jumped
into the PUS-mobile where I discovered the passenger door doesn’t actually
close. This is a really dull
post.Anyway, they were in classic
Murray-tastic bubbles of joy, and I was to tired to say or do or snap anything
of any worth. I grabbed this from a passing sentence: “did you know diamonds are
forever is on tonight”, I did not - I may have mumbled something… I
forget.Anyhoo, home for some U2
Live at Irving
Plaza
and the carnage my 26 year old brother
(who has just discovered kazza, yet he still fails to discover courtesy, the
volume dial or a life). That’s a terrible sentence and I know it. Hmm, anyway -
thats a proper update. I don’t know why I had to write it down. I could have
just written “test”.

What-up Dawg?

This is not an apology post. This is just an
update, which is what blogs are all be about, I mean simple blogs (like this
one) very personal. Fun times, Thoughts and Slander… thoughts and slander - I
do like that. (Read

Podcast: The First

There is so much to say about this
podcast, it has been a long time coming and it happened in the most unlikley of
places and times. After the party at Will’s this weekend (on Flickr soon) I
introduced William to my iBook, Garageband
and iTunes 4.9
. I set the guy up with a Flickr account,
boosted him to Pro, then ranted about Blogs and Technorati, being a
tagging whore, we even listened to the Daily Source Code. He loved it. So -
Will suggested we make a podcast, I said “we have the technology” and within the
hour we were set up in his
garage
with Garageband (see what we did there), a shisha (which - as
you’ll hear, got dead) and lunch (of
course).
Slightly hung-over and more than a little
over-confident we pushed record and
Meta Comment - “The
First”
was well on its
way
to Podcasting-super-stardom. I appologise for it all, really.
There are some missing bits - its un-edited but stopped recording at 33mins but
we like it. Here’s the feed I
learned XML last night, so can’t confirm its stable in anything except iTunes
4.9
.If anyone knows how I
can count the number of people listening, that’d be interesting. I can’t just
embed sitemeter in the feed? Please send feedback - we’ll be doing more soon.
Podcasting is surprisingly enjoyable - ranting for half an hour is hysterical.
Next post will be an explination of how to recieve podcasts on iTunes, we’re not
listed on the database “Podcast Directory” but I’m on it! Here are my Adam Curry-esque
shownotes;
