I rushed home from work today to catch Canadian
singer-songwriter-hottie Feist on KCRW, she was playing a set of music from
her album Let
it Die. An album I’ve had my hands on for a few months, since seeing
the video for One
Evening on late night french TV… and in your
face jo! she
is
the ultimate in talented indie west-coast easy listening stylee music - not
‘pop’, pah I remove you from my list of trusted music sources… for a week or
so.KCRW really do rock, they don’t
just archive all playlists (even for songs played in between news segments) they
also archive Real Media audio and VIDEO for most live sessions, going back to
1997! I grabbed some Ben Folds (live with a string quintet in studio) and some
jive-tacular Beck. If your on a Mac Audio-Hijacker does
the grabbing, on PC CDEx… don’t ask me why but
you can’t save Real Media steams, legally.
And here’s a link to my favorite morning / late evening wake up program: Morning Becomes Eclectic - it
‘airs’ 5pm GMT, that’s 10 in the morning for my west-coast buddie(s).
You can also steam it through iTunes.
