The Liberal Democrats are the
third
party.
A party who have failed consecutively to gain capital on the failure and
mistrust of the big two - Labour and the Conservatives. My problem with the
Lib-Dems, in one name- Charles Kennedy. I trust him, and will listen to him even
agree with some of his policies and applaud his constant stance on Tony Blair,
War and Devolution.However, he’s a
weak leader - a dull speaker. This is the
time for the Lib-Dems, they have a good track
record in Scotland, a left-ist
position (I agree with) on immigration and, yes, compared to Blair and Howard -
Charles Kennedy is a popular leader, I read “75%” of the electorate
trust that drunk - this does not mean 75% will vote Liberal Democrat. If this is the time -
Kennedy should say so, their tag is the “Real Alternative”, but he’s talking
himself to death - he’s got the wrong idea; talking about health and crime at
every opportunity… why so? Because they have a simple and succinct answers, a
tried-and-true policy on these issues, Kennedy is a milker… They can’t
recognise that Scotland has it’s own agenda, and however beneficial their
policies will be, people are not listening - nothing to do with presentation,
nor content it’s the voice, the tweedy new-father doesn’t go down
well.That’s it basically, sad - but a
party to lead the UK for the next 5 years can not be this one. They’re not ready
for it.
