IE 7
Looks like someone is listening… Yesterday
Microsoft announced that they are working on a new version of Internet Explorer
- that most hated of small-capital letters that plague Windows desktops,
quick-launches, software updates, start menus and websites. I really don’t have a problem
with Internet Explorer 7 if it’s going to patch those issues noted in my last
post. But, I won’t hang around to find out (on my windows ‘box’), I’ll be
sticking with Firefox.This
announcement is exciting because it’s an answer to the switchers, Microsoft are
and should be frightened, they no longer have 95% of the browser share, their
Operating Systems are floundering, Longhorn has been delayed. IE 7 will not be
an integral part of windows (see Microsoft in court) so it’s not going to be
promoted as IE 5 or 6 were, this could be a turning point for Microsoft, and
their ethics, it probably won’t be. I don’t
really
care, buy a mac.
this is an old post - the formatting may be jumbled
